We are a flower farm and boutique private nursery. We grow beautiful, unique and often rare things that we hope others enjoy. We offer a variety of flowers, plants, shrubs and even trees. Our farms primary focus for most of the year is flowers as we are tuber producers for a vast catalog of dahlia varieties. Our farm additionally is hybridization focused on all things that bloom from dahlias to even peonies and spend a good portion of the season working on the advancement of these projects for future releases.
3 Monkeys Nursery is located just north of Atlanta, GA and is a mom owned business. If you read our name and thought we have monkeys, this is where you should know we have 3 but they are our kids! They are a big part of our business and are active in the farm and nursery side. Our farm and our life center around our love of the outdoors and our passion in growing and we feel strongly that kids should be encouraged to be outdoors.
Our nursery focuses primarily on spring and summer plants. We are a private boutique nursery which means we aim to give you the one on one feel and know this can only be achieved by appointments to ensure your time has our undivided attention. When we have pop up hours or events all are welcome but we have found that both our customers and ourselves prefer the calm nature of the appointment model. We do offer a variety of top shelf Roses yearly for all of our fellow rose lovers. These are not your standard roses and can be purchased directly from our nursery during your appointment. If you are not local, we offer preorders for the bare roots to be shipped directly to you once a year! This option is done as a preorder as we aim to offer better rates and guaranteed availability by adding these counts to our predetermined nursery order. When we save on time of potting up and are able to send bare roots to you, we want to give you the added benefits from some of the work we didn’t have to do! Dahlias are a huge part of our life and we love making them available for others to enjoy. We enjoy the magical nature of these flowers from tubers, to seeds to all things propagation!
We have built a good bit of our focus as the farm has grown to helping others take a dream and make it a reality. For hybridizers that have made beautiful new flowers but may not have the capacity or space to grow them out we began partnering with them to make this happen. We believe in a free market dahlia world and strive to maintain the freedoms of once you purchase you can grow, expand or share as you see fit. But in trying to ensure the freedoms of all who live to grow dahlias we have built another way to both honor the hybridizers hard work, time and money while at the same time making sure hobby growers and other farms can add these beauties too! This is why as you peruse our site you may see some new varieties at higher prices. Please note that during initial launch years we are “partnering in profits”. Like any partnership we work directly with the hybridizers to determine which new breeds are set to launch, set goals for counts and place stock in a variety of locations. This part is essential in ensuring what we grow thrives for you! We partner with other farms and other specialized suppliers to help build the data we want and the expansion any hybridizer wants! I’m sure if you are reading this you can now begin to understand how the infrastructure and investment meet the higher pricing. But here is the thing that we want the world of dahlias to know when reading this.. we pay our hybridizers like they are partners in our business. We don’t have the time or desire to track counts year after year to pay them Pennie’s on the dollar for a predetermined amount of time, no we want all of the hard work for a launch to be a win for both sides!

3. We specialize in a specific market monopoly model, which ensures all of the product for the new stock is only going to be supplied by approved farms participating in the collective process. This ensures the quality and dedication it takes to prepare to launch and it protects the farms involved from market saturation as only these farms will be growing this variety!
4. We all want freedom and we all want to grow new things. This is costly, but we believe everyone would prefer to have the cost at purchase and know it is a one time thing!
